The Tornado Cash founder's money laundering case goes to court, potentially facing 45 years in prison.

The criminal money laundering case against Tornado Cash founder Roman Storm is set to begin on Monday morning local time, with a maximum sentence of 45 years in prison if all three charges are upheld. The trial was originally scheduled to last for two weeks, but due to the large number of witnesses in the case, including a hacker who used Tornado Cash, a so-called "victim" witness, and several expert witnesses, it is expected to be extended to last a month (four weeks).
