Paolo Ardoino, the CTO of Tether (USDT), the world's largest stablecoin issuer, stated that a thinking artificial intelligence would prefer Bitcoin (BTC).
Paolo Ardoino, in an interview at an event held in Switzerland recently, suggested that if a digital currency is adopted in the future, artificial intelligence (AGI) will prefer Bitcoin among cryptocurrencies. Ardoino emphasized that AGIs will always prefer decentralized structures to those under a certain management.
According to the statements of the CTO, if AGI adopts a cryptocurrency in the future, Bitcoin will be the best option due to its decentralized nature.
A machine will always choose something that is completely decentralized and no one can control it. If machines have to pay for electricity to run, they will always use something humans can't control, and that's going to be Bitcoin in my view.
Ardoino also stated that Tether (USDT), their company's dominating stablecoin, will not be an option for AGI due to its centralized structure.
